According to the Stars and guests that were present at the inaugural GIAMA Awards, they indicated that the show and event was “phenomenal, great, outstanding, and many more great testimonials from them all”.

This 2012 GIAMA  featured several movie actors, producers, and directors from Nollywood including Ramsey Nouah, Jim Iyke,  Van Vicker, Desmond Elliot, John Dumelo, Uche Jombo, Majid Michel, Monalisa Chinda, Emem Isong, Frank Rajah, Susan Peters, Chigozie Atuanya, Uti Nwachukwu, Alex Ekubo, Belinda Effah, Pascal Atuma, Oscar Atuma, Chet Anaekwe, and Olalekan Akintunde.
