Awwrgh! Vin Diesel and the stars of Furious 7 remembered their late co-star Paul Walker on Sunday at the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles. The Fast and Furious crew are known for their close knit relationship with each other while on set and off the camera. They showed it as they remembered their late co-star.
‘Paul Walker is here in spirit!’ Diesel, 48, said while accepting the award at the Galen Center for Choice Movie: Action/Adventure with co-stars Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez and Ludacris.
According to reports from Daily Mail, Diesel said, ‘I can’t stand here and be rewarded like this without talking about somebody very, very, very important to us.’ The star also added ‘One of the best blessings in our lives is the fact that we had the opportunity to call Pablo our brother. Paul Walker is here in spirit with us,’ he added.
Walker died in November 2013 in a high-speed car accident following a charity event while Furious 7 was still filming.
A photo of Walker was shown on a large screen behind them as Diesel, Brewster and Rodriguez held hands. Ludacris stood nearby and held the surfboard-shaped award.
Diesel also acknowledged Walker’s daughter Meadow Walker who he said supported them and gave them the courage to continue with the movie.
