Since Lupita Nyong’o won the Oscar award for her role in Steve McQueen’s 12 Years a Slave, the Kenyan native has not returned back home, and a few days ago when she jetted off to her home country, she chose to wear two fabulous outfits by Nigerian designer Maki-Oh.
This is the first time Lupita would be spotted donning outfits from an African designer for a public event. At two of her public outings while touring Kenya, the actress wore two classic hand-painted and hand-dyed pieces. For a mentoring talk, where she spoke about the importance of art in education, she work a silk satin scarf blouse/ cotton skirt ensemble to while at a Press Conference, she donned a silk satin and velvet vest with silk cotton wide leg trousers.
