Play 60 Katy is part of the Amobi Okoye Foundation and Kickoff 4 Kids, a local Katy non-profit organization in Texas, USA.
The Kickoff 4 Kids Foundation and the NFL Play 60 movement partnered with the Willow Fork Drainage District for an afternoon of Fun and Fitness. This FREE event is a joint effort to bring awareness to kids of all ages to eat healthy and exercise daily. It is important and imperative that children are educated on what to eat and how to stay fit. Oftentimes, it is taken for granted that kids know how to stay in shape. The kids of all ages got the opportunity to exercise with Alan of Mase Fitness, as he put them through a fun obstacle course and a series of short circuits.
The mission of Play 60 is to make the next generation of youth the most active and healthy. In October 2007, the NFL launched NFL PLAY 60, a national youth health and fitness campaign focused on increasing the wellness of young fans by encouraging them to be active for at least 60 minutes a day. NFL Play 60 is designed to tackle childhood obesity; NFL PLAY 60 brings together the NFL’s long-standing commitment to health and fitness with an impressive roster of partner organizations.
