Super model and widow of David Bowie, Iman has spoken out for the first time since the Starman singer’s tragic death in January. The 60-year-old, who was married to David for over 23 years, took to social media on to post a heart felt message which appeared to be thanking fans for their support.
Bowie passed away last month (January 10) at the age of 69. He had been suffering from cancer for 18 months prior.
In the days shortly before Bowie’s death, Iman had posted a number of messages to Twitter including: “The struggle is real, but so is God” and “Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory”.
Now the former model and actress has posted a message that reads: “‘Love & Gratitude’ – Iman”.
Bowie and Iman tied the knot in 1992. The couple welcomed a daughter together, Alexandria Zahra Jones, in 2000.
Shortly before his passing, Bowie released his final album ‘Blackstar’, on January 8 which was also his 69th birthday. The album topped the charts in both the UK and US.
