Football legend David Beckham gave his son Brooklyn a fatherly hug as he turned 16 years old, which he shared with his fans with a photo posted on his Facebook page on Wednesday, 4th March captioned:
“Happy Birthday to my big boy xx,” he wrote, sharing a black-and-white photo of him kissing his teenage son on the head.
He also posted a reminiscing photo of him and one year old Brooklyn on the field back in 2000. Brooklyn is the eldest son of the retired footballer and has been followed by paparazzis for many years – as far back as 2000 when he was just one year old and was learning to walk on the football field.
During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel in his talk show in January, David Beckham admitted that his fatherly show of affection in public does not go down well with his growing son and he may have embarrassed him among his peers, as reported on etonline.com recently.
“He did it to me the other day, after doing it about five times,” he recalled to Kimmel. “So I’m driving around, and he’s just walking in his school, and I open up the window and I said, ‘Brooklyn, I love you!’ Obviously, it didn’t go down too well.”
Brooklyn also received a pair of Yeezy Trainers from Kanye West as a birthday present.
