The film is a high tension drama mixed with comedy, produced by the Atuma Brothers, written and directed by Pascal Atuma who also directed the hit comedies “My American Nurse 1 & 2″ and upcoming movie “Okoto the Messenger”. “Who is the man?” is set for release December 2011 in the USA & Canada.”

SYNOPSIS

The movie tells the story of three co-workers (car mechanics to be exact), two of them married and one single. The character of “Ajegunle”, one of the co-workers played by Oscar Atuma (Awolowo of My American Nurse & Okoto the Messenger), who is married to the character “Funke “ played by Nigeria’s Hollywood based International actress and model, Eeefy Ify Ike. Ajegunle is a good man who loves his wife, and treats her like a queen, but his co-worker and friend “Kumasi” see’s him as a weak man and calls him “woman wrapper”. On the other hand, the character of “Kumasi” ,played by Nigeria’s Hollywood based International actor and comedian, Pascal Atuma (Hurricane in the Rose Garden, Only in America, My American Nurse, Okoto the Messenger etc) , is married to the character “Ngozi” played by Seun Maduka ( Adanma of My American Nurse 2) . Kumasi is a “chauvinist” and very abusive husband, physically and verbally, who thinks that his wife “Ngozi” should worship and serve him because he is the man. He also cheats on her with other women without remorse, the worst husband any woman will dream for.

The third co-worker whose character name is “Maliki” played by Nollywood’s celebrated superstar, the one and only Jim Iyke (One Dollar, Two dollars etc) is the single one, and understudies both marriages to see which one will survive, and whoever his marriage survives will be called “The Man”—The “woman wrapper” as our people call it or the “chauvinistic man of the house”, who will survive at the end?? It is total drama, told in a comedic form, will be very entertaining and informative, kind of an eye opener and mirror into most African marriages in diaspora and at home. The movie addresses the problem of domestic violence and total abuse which is destroying many marriages and homes all over the world.

It also features Nollywood veteran actress Philomena Ochei (Only in America) and other rising stars, namely Naja Mathews, Yollande Kayembe, Serge Murphy Ukah, Stanley Atuma, Cedrick Walton, Cynthia Chioma Nwaubani, Maureen Onyechere etc.

The story of Oyinda and Ladi is definitely faith-based, and not a coincidence. It’s undeniably nothing short of a miraculous fairy tale. It is true that love may be hard to find, but your true love may not be farfetched and right in your own very eyes.  The bride and the groom grew up in the staff quarters of Obafemi Awolowo University (O.A.U) Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. They both attended the same primary school and attended the same medical college in Nigeria. They were casual friends in college, but they didn’t eventually hit it off and started dating until chances brought them together in the United States.

The wedding ceremony and the reception were both held in an elegant ballroom in Beltsville, Maryland. What really made this day memorable was that neither Oyinda nor Ladi had ever envisioned their true love for each other, their life together or how their ideal wedding would be, but it turned out to be “simply amazing” and they were both thrilled to see everyone having a great time. The couple and the guests had so much fun from dancing to exhilarating ‘cha cha’ sound track to all great hits songs of the 90’s. All in all, the day was a perfect reflection of the couple’s style and taste — a match made from simple destiny.

The celebration continued and ended on Christmas day, with a colorful thanksgiving at the RCCG-River of Life parish in MD. Golden Icons would like to use this medium to wish Oyinda and Ladi, a wonderful and blissful marriage.

Major highlights of the event include a performance by the sensational Mo Hit artiste Dr. Sid, a fashion show by reputable fashion designers from the stable of Regalia, Modela and Richlooks fashion houses, a hair show segment managed by Salon de Eve the winner of last year’s Kanekalon Braids Parade. Other attractions were hair clinic presentation by the CEO of Studio One Plus and makeup tips by Bayo Adeagbe, an outstanding dance drama choreographed by Black Image dance group and live band entertainment was provided by Terrymore International which made the event extremely enjoyable and full of fun. The show was anchored by popular comedian Koffi and on-air radio personality, Matse. Guests were also charmed by Kanekalon brand ambassador, Stephanie Okereke, who, in her speech told the audience of how it was a great privilege to represent something a lot of African beauties can relate to.

In 2010 Stephanie joined 7 exceptional women including Hollywood A-list star Meryl Streep on stage for the play SEVEN. The play was introduced by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Stephanie was recently honoured with the Member of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (MFR) award by the Nigerian National Merits Award (NNMA).

Saturday, November 12, 2011. The New York premiere of one of Nollywood’s best picture flicks, “In the Cupboard”, a movie directed by Desmond Elliott and starring, Nollywood star actress Ini EDO, Big Brother Africa Winner Uti Nwachucku, and award-winning Ghanaian actress Linda Forson.

At the premiere, the super-gorgeous Nollywood diva Genevieve Nnaji, showed up as a celebrity guest to support the movie. According to the eager fans, words such as “pretty, humble and extremely excited about meeting her fans” were used to describe this Nollywood Icon. On the other hand, the feedback on Desmond Elliott was characterized by the fans as an amazing star, who interacted well with all the fans that came from different parts of the country, just to support their favorite actors and director. Overall, the premiere was a huge success, and everyone enjoyed themselves.

The following weekend, on Saturday November 12, the main event kicked off with a thanksgiving event, again at RCCG-Dominion Chapel. The Musical performances were presented by the talented Dominion Chapel Voices led by vocalist Minister Debbie Dixon, entertainer VSAX, and other entertainers that prepared guests for the fun-filled night. After the Church event, guests were ushered into the 1000-seater banquet hall, with complimentary assorted food and drinks being served. Guests came in from all over the world to mark this milestone celebration with Dr. B. Olutimeyin. The high table was filled with highly-esteemed, distinguished and accomplished individuals including doctors, professors, ambassadors and so forth. A Powerful dance performance was done by the DC Dance group, comedy by LA based Wamilele, and music from most-demanded DJ SM95, accompanied by live band performance by Kings Rhythm. The Event was coordinated by Shade Fatusin of A Concealed Affair, with her team of professional experts who ensured every aspect of the event was top-notch. International Magazine and Golden Icons were present to cover every aspect of the 2 weekend extravaganza and we at Golden Icons are using this opportunity to once again wish Dr. B.O a happy 50^th birthday and many happy returns.
