AiRis (Asmaa Idrisu) was born in Cairo, Egypt to an Egyptian mother and a Nigerian Father. She started her own record label, AiRis Music, and moved to Nigeria in the spring of 2010 to follow up with her music career.
Her debut video (Without You) was shot in Miami, and directed by BET’s Hip Hop Award winning director Adam Rush. Adam Rush has directed music videos for several platinum selling artists including Lil Wayne, Young Money, Dj Khaled and Pitbull.
AiRis worked with Nigerian Producer Chino Ojunta of C17 Music in the making of her debut single “Without you”.
