Nigerian indigenous rapper, Dapo Olaitan Olaonipekun, aka Da Grin, often regarded as the Nigerian 50 cent, died on April 22, 2010 at the age of 26 from the aftermath of an auto accident.
On April 14, 2010, According to several reporters, Da Grin’s vehicle collided with a stationary trailer that was parked outside a police station in Mushin, Lagos. He ran under the truck and his car was crushed and totaled. Da Grin was officially pronounced dead by the doctors sometime between 8:30pm and 8:45pm at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
